INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE


The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) of Sacred Heart Arts and Science College, Perani is constituted in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and UGC guidelines. The Committee is dedicated to ensuring a safe, dignified, and inclusive environment for women students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff.
Objectives
To prevent sexual harassment in the campus and at college-related activities
To provide a secure and confidential mechanism for redressal of complaints
To promote gender sensitivity and mutual respect
To ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory norms
Functions
Receive and examine complaints of sexual harassment
Conduct fair and impartial inquiries following due process
Recommend appropriate action based on inquiry findings
Organize awareness and sensitization programmes
Safeguard confidentiality and protect against victimization
Scope
The ICC addresses complaints arising within the campus, during academic activities, official duties, fieldwork, internships, and college-sponsored events.
Complaint Procedure
Complaints may be submitted in writing to the Presiding Officer or any ICC member
Complaints should preferably be filed within three months of the incident
All proceedings are treated with strict confidentiality

Presiding Officer (Senior Woman Faculty Member)
Teaching Faculty Members
Non-Teaching Staff Member
External Member (from NGO / Legal or Social Work background)
(Constituted as per UGC and Government norms.)
The Internal Complaint Committee assures fairness, sensitivity, confidentiality, and timely redressal of grievances and upholds the values and discipline of Sacred Heart Arts and Science College, Perani.
